A Little About Me

There’s really not a whole lot to say about myself, but here goes. My name is Josh and I’m currently working on becoming a professional writer (the current site banner is my actual handwriting). I started writing Star Wars fan fiction (which I still dabble in from time to time) back in high school, but have since moved on to focus primarily on my own original material. I have a growing catalog of short stories and half a dozen novels that desperately need attention. I’m currently working on a sci-fi trilogy inspired by the most amazing dream I’ve ever had.

In addition to being a writer, I also love to knit. Yes, I knit. I even have my own Etsy shop called Knerdy Knittery as well as a sorely neglected knitting blog called The Knerdy Knitter.

I currently suffer from very bad social anxiety and the occasional depression that comes as a consolation prize. I will be seeing a doctor and hopefully getting help very soon. My anxiety leaves me practically incapable of leaving my house without suffering a panic attack. I’ve been almost entirely housebound for over a year now. This time as a prisoner in my own home has really made me appreciate the little things that most people really take for granted, such as the ability to even leave their houses or do things with friends. After living with increasingly severe anxiety for several years and being stuck at home for more than a year, I’ve decided that once I’m better and once I have the ability to, I would like to find a way to help others who are in the same situation I am. Or even worse. I strongly believe that everyone needs a cause to fight for in their lives and this one is definitely mine.
